Living on our own

Many friends from abroad are wondering why the greeks, and the italians as well, live with their parents until about they 're 30 or maybe more. The answer is that in Greece - where I know the situation better - the cost of living is very high in comparison with salaries. So, young people can't afford it living on their own. And the state doesn't give any kind of loans that could be paid later. But we 're not talking about Scandinavia or even the UK, sorry I forgot...
