Someone to protect

I just parked my car and I was facing a dilemma whether to take the wallet with me at home or to leave in the car so that not to bother carrying it with me again tomorrow morning. But I finally thought that it wasn't a good idea to leave it in the car, some youngsters broke my father's car's outside mirror last night. Why does the police only express their hate by hitting the immigrants instead of protecting the civilians?
